Is That My Name on the Bathroom Wall?

Written on Tuesday December 20, 2005

Dear Judy Ludy:

I found my name on the bathroom wall. What do I do about this?

Signed,
Disturbed

Dear Disturbed:
Did they spell your name right? I live in Hollywood and take it from me, there’s no such thing as bad press!

Look at what it did for Paris Hilton…One Night in Paris made her an overnight celebutante. Tom Cruise’s outrageous Oprah appearance and his Matt Lauer meltdown had people’s tongues wagging for weeks; it’s all the press could talk about. Tara Reid’s over-exposed breast (excuse me, dress malfunction) got her a hosting gig on Wild On for E!

Believe me…there’s never bad press darling; only brilliant press agents.

Seriously, if you’re losing sleep over it, tell your office receptionist to call the building super, and have it removed.

The Ludy-ism…What we perceive to be bad press is simply well orchestrated manipulations from handlers and agents behind the scenes. They are better at closing a deal than a Julie Robert’s smile; a Jessica Simpson body, or Jesse Metcalfe in an Armani suit.
