The legendary actress Shelley Winters died Saturday, January 14th, 2006 of an apparent heart attack, at a nursing home in Los Angeles.

However, my favorite roles for her, where as Charlotte Haze in Lolita with James Mason, Peter Sellers and Sue Lyons (http://www.allwatchers.com/topics/info_27268.asp), and A Place in the Sun, where she played Alice Tripp, opposite Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043924/); brilliant performances in both movies!
She was 85 years young.
