All right, I’m going to come right out and say it; enough with the Paris Hilton stories!! Does anyone really care? Why do we give this Celebutante the time of day and why is she famous?
Is it simply because she’s heir to the Hilton Hotel chain, or is it because she had her sex video “stolen” and plastered all over the internet. Come on! There are hundreds of hookers at Highland and Santa Monica, and they aren’t famous for their sex acts. Could it be because they don’t have a mega bucks publicity machine following their every move, “coincidentally” catching them in compromising positions?
And now this week, I read in The Enquirer AND Page Six, our favorite Celebutante pissed in the back of a cab in Hawaii. And her thugs, excuse me, bodyguards went to the cab driver and allegedly threatened him if he went to the press or got the clean-up rag tested for her DNA.
Page 28 of this week’s Enquirer has more photos of the heiress, in which we see a yet again, drunken Paris staggering down a road from a Hollywood nightclub, while one of her handlers tries to keep her from falling on her expensive ass!
I’m done. This is not newsworthy material. She’s a spoiled, rich girl, who should be using her name and money for noble causes (and perhaps she is, but I sure don’t see that in the media), not feeding the media with her lewd acts of public drunkenness, and then expressing how she wants to live a private life. Really? I hadn’t noticed.
It irritates the hell out of me that we (myself included) give Paris Hilton (and those like her) the time of day.
The Ludy-ism : money doesn’t give you class; class is something you are taught or earn. Unfortunately, it CAN give you the freedom to do as you please, whether it’s right or wrong, good or bad, crazy or sane; and the conscience not to worry about which one you’ve chosen.
