The 78th Annual Academy Award nominations were announced today at 5:30 am PST.
I’m holding out on my personal predictions for BEST PICTURE, ACTOR, ACTRESS, SUPPORTING ACTOR and SUPPORTING ACTRESS until I’ve seen all the films and performances. Needless to say, I’m torn between GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (unrequited love gets me every time) and CAPOTE (Philip Seymour-Hoffman was brilliant in the movie, worthy of Best Actor; however, the movie as a whole, may not hold up for Best Film); I’ll hold out final decisions until I see the other 2 nominees; CRASH and MUNICH.
The show will air Sunday, March 5th, 2006 at 5 pm/PT - 8 pm/ET. Look for my Oscar menu on Sunday, February 26th.
