It’s Tabloid time! The Enquirer is full on with the story of drug crazed Whitney’s secret gay life, as told by Bobby Brown’s sister (do I detect a note of jealousy?); Matt Lauer is supposedly up in arms over Katie’s $100m CBS deal; and the “real” story behind Matt LeBlanc’s break-up.
This week, I’m sticking mainly with the Enquirer, as Us Weekly and the Star are all about pregnant celebs and their due dates. What is it? A race to the finish to see who gets there first? However, a point of interest….Us Weekly is reporting Heather Locklear has a new man in her life; that I must know.
Let’s hit the Enquirer…
Right away…Page 2 is revealing Oprah’s weight gain. Seems everyone (who is “everyone”?) is in fear she’ll be hitting the 200-pound mark again. Apparently, it’s due to stress and overworking. The biggest reason seems to be the 3-year, $55 million dollar satellite-radio deal is proving to be much more work than she had anticipated, and she’s afraid of failing at it. Guess what? It’s called work for a reason; suck it up, and move on.
Page 7 – Looks like Ashley Judd’s turned herself into the same eating disorder clinic for under-eating, as her sister Wynonna has for over-eating. They’ve checked in together…aawww, that’s nice. I wonder which one will demand the most attention.
Page 7 is also reporting that Matt Lauer is asking the NBC brass to cough up bigger bucks for him to stay at the Today show. He’s currently making about $8 million per year; he wants much for than that to stay. My question…where else would he go? Does he have offers pouring in? Remember, Matt; everyone is replaceable, and probably at a much lesser salary.
Page 11 – Matt LeBlanc has supposedly dumped his wife (and mother of their daughter, Marina) to be with Andrea Anders, who played the sexy blonde neighbor Alex, on his sitcom, Joey. Can you say mid-life crisis over show failure…
Oh brother. Page 20 has Tina Brown (Bobby Brown’s sister) “reporting” that Whitney, who is “allegedly” so fueled by drugs, has taken to participating in lesbian sex, chasing men, and locking herself in the bathroom for hours to use her vast collection of sex toys. Come on. Here’s my question…what is Tina getting out of “reporting” this? 15 minutes of fame? A book or reality TV deal?

Wait! I found this on Page 11 and was appalled. What is going on with these pregnant celebrity moms drinking while pregnant? Last week, I reported that Britney was “allegedly” drinking at her husband K-Fed’s bash in Vegas. Now Gwyneth Paltrow, excuse me, self-professed naturalist Gwyneth Paltrow, has decided it’s okay to drink while pregnant, as she was seen (and her rep confirmed) that, indeed it was a bottle of Guinness she drank while dining with husband Chris Martin, and it’s okay, and won’t harm the baby? What? You can’t stay off the sauce the 9 months you’re pregnant; especially in today’s world were there is so much research that proves otherwise? WHAT THE HELL?
Page 49 – drum role please….here’s who Heather is dating. Long time friend and celebrity pal, David Spade? Yep, that’s right. The magazine is calling them SPEATHER! Heather, come on…! You left rock star Richie Sambora for comedian David Spade…? I need a reason why please.
