Maybe the Mission’s Not So Impossible…

Written on Monday May 15, 2006

The weekend box office numbers are in, and Mission: Impossible III topped the list again with another $24,515,000 in sales; a respectable number considering all the hype and drama of it’s star, Tom Cruise. Mr. Ludy and I haven’t gotten to see it yet; however, there’s always hope.

Next in line was the just released Poseidon with $20,325,000 in it’s first weekend; not so bad. But nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever take the place of the original 1972 Poseidon Adventure which starred Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, and Shelley Winters…a true classic. It’s the reason to this day, I will probably never go on an ocean cruise.

Check out this link for a complete list of this weekends hits and misses.

Personally, I’m waiting for Superman Returns; that should be killer!
