Looks like Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn pulled the big number at the box office this weekend with THE BREAK UP scoring $38.0 million for it’s opening weekend.  Not bad for people going to see a movie they know nothing about; just goinng to see because the lead couple were supposedly in love during the making of the film.  Let’s see the numbers for week 2.  

X-MEN came in #2 with $34.4 million for a 2nd week total of $175.7 million.

Dreamworks OVER THE HEDGE was 3rd with $20.6, giving it a 3 week total of $112.4 Million; THE DAVINCI CODE and MI:3 were next in line respectively.  So much for the big summer blockbuster hit.
