Monday Box Office Review

Written on Monday June 19, 2006

For the second weekend in a row, Disney/Pixars, CARS raced to the finish line taking in an estimated $31,181,000 over the weekend, bringing it’s total to $114,505,100 in two weeks.

NACHO LIBRE, starring Jack Black, took in only $27,513,000 (Paramount) on it’s opening weekend.

The FAST AND THE FURIOUS, TOKYO DRAFT, took in an opening amount of $24,056,000 (Universal).

The LAKE HOUSE opened with an underwhelming amount of $13,665,000. I’d go back to the city - ha!

THE BREAK-UP - looks to be not the blockbuster people were hoping for, as it’s total take was only $9,502,000 for a total of $91,931.00.

Only 2 more weekends until SUPERMAN RETURNS. Let’s hope he can return people to the movie theatres.

That’s all from Hollywood this week!
