Tabloid Review W/E 06/30/06

Written on Sunday July 2, 2006

It’s Tabloid Time! And you know it’s a slow week when the cover of The Enquirer has the 50 Best and Worst Beach Bodies. “New Photos” – yeah right…boring. Come on..the Cellulite Hall of Fame again. Don’t “waist” your time, we’ve all scene the photo of Demi Moore in her bathing suit with her cellulite legs; so 5 years ago!!! Hmmm…Nicole and Keith’s honeymoon in paradise; could be interesting.

Yep, it’s a slow pre-holiday week!

Anyway, let’s see what’s going on.

Page 2 – don’t waste your time reading Star Jones vs. Rosie O’Donnell. We know that Star announced on Tuesday of this week, she was leaving The View and then got canned that night from Ms. Walter’s herself. Where’s the story? Star vs. Rosie is old news.

Page 6 has the master honeymoon plan of Mr. And Mrs. Nicole Kidman; I mean Mr. And Mrs. Keith Urban. They will be honeymooning at the exclusive St. Regis Resort on the South Seas island of Bora Bora.

Page 29 – here starts the bikini show — Best and Worst Beach Bodies 2006. There are far too many to list; however, a few in particular stand out as Best. I don’t think anyone can dispute Jennifer Aniston has a lovely shape and is all-about being feminine. Pam Anderson would have a great shape if her boobs weren’t so out of proportion to the rest of her body.

As for the Worst, Star Jones may have lost 150 pounds, but a one-piece bathing suit would look a lot nicer on her. And Goldie Hawn, still so cute at 60, but a suit that covers her entire rear would be far more appealing than one that looks as though it’s 4 sizes too small. A thong is not a bikini bottom.

Oh my God! Page 35 has a photo of Gerard Depardieu naked (well, there’s a beach ball covering him up in the appropriate spot). Please…put some clothes on!!! And Ric Ocasek may be able to sing like a song bird, but he looks like an old buzzard with just his shorts on. Matthew McConaughey running on the beach..yeah, he IS hot!

And on that note, I think I’ll stop. It’s a holiday week; the phone has stopped ringing, and it’s time to go out and celebrate the 4th of July.

That’s all from Hollywood this week!
