Monday Morning Box Office

Written on Monday July 24, 2006

Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST took No. 1 at the box ofice again this week, bringing in $35,049,000 for a total of $321,733,000 in it’s third week of release.

MONSTER HOUSE (Sony) took No. 2 with $23,000,000 in it’s first week of release (I gotta be honest with you; I’m not sure what this movies about.)

No. 3 was Warner’s Bros. LADY IN THE WATER, taking in $18,2100,000 in it’s opening weekend (I don’t need to see this one).

No. 4. was YOU, ME AND DUPREE (Universal) took in another $12,787,000, bringing it’s two week total to $45,318,000. Not so good for an Owen Wilson flick…

And rounding out No. 5 was Sony’s LITTLE MAN with $11,000,000, for a two week total of $40,611,000.

Not such a banner weekend at the box office, even with the country sizzling in it’s current heat wave!!!
