Monday Morning Box Office

Everything old is new again….The characters of Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs from MIAMI VICE (Universal) were brought to the big screen, and took top honors at the box office this weekend, with an opening total of $25,195,000.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN dropped to 2nd place with a pirates treasure of $20,492,000, bringing it’s four week total to $358,372,000.  Unbelievable.

Coming in at No. 3 is the teen movie JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE (20th Century Fox) with a total of $14,075,000 in week No. 1.

No. 4 is MONSTER HOUSE (Sony) with a total of $11,500,000, bringing it’s two week total to $43,872,000.

And at No. 5 is the animated movie THE ANT BULLY (Warner Bros.) opening at $8,145,000.
