Google Acquires YouTube for $1.6 Billion Dollars!

Written on Monday October 9, 2006

Hold on to your search engines.  Google, one of the largest search engines on the net, acquired YouTube.com for $1.6 billion dollars in stock today.  The merger should be complete by year’s end, with Google allowing YouTube to continue to operate independently, and keep their current headquarters and employees.

My concern is this.  That Google eventually, due to possible lawsuits from the sue-happy society that we currently live in, starts to sensor what is allowed to play on YouTube’s/Googles video sight.  That would totally suck, as now on YouTube you can view so many brilliant, unsensored videos from all over the world.

Here’s the complete article…lucky bastards!
