Monday Morning Box Office

No. 1 at the box office this weekend is THE PRESTIGE (Buena Vista) with an opening gross of $14,818,000.

No. 2 is THE DEPARTED (Warner Bros.) with a weekend bank of $13,675,000, taking it’s total to $77,148,000 in 3 weeks.

Coming in at No. 3 is FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS (WB Int’l and Dreamworks SKG) with an opening box office of only $10,200,000. Hello…war movies aren’t so popular at right now…think about it. THE MARINE (20th) came in at number 10 this week, and only took in $3,725,000, for a grand total of $12,547,000 for it’s second week.

No. 4 is OPEN SEASON (Sony) taking in $8,000,000 and making it’s total $69,602,000 in 4 week of release.

And at No. 5, it’s FLICKA (from 20th Century Fox) with an opening weekend take of only $7,700,000.
