I’m sure this comes as a shock to no one, but it was announced today that Britney Spears has filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court from “singer” Kevin Federline.

The Pop Star Princess has been married to K-Fed for 2 years and one month, and has 2 children with him. 

Oh, brother.  How many months are we going to have to endure the break-up stories on this?  Every detail of the custody battle; the settlement; the “alleged” torrid affair…ugh.

And how clever of her PR people to make such an announcement on election day, a day when everyone is preoccupied with political news, not celebrity news (well, not as much); especially since the court documents show the date of separation as yesterday (Monday, 11/6/06).
