Monday Morning Box Office

Written on Monday November 13, 2006

I had to look twice at the ratings, since the first three films are in the same place they were last week, and all three are in their second week of release.

No. 1 again, for the second week in a row, is BORAT (20th) bringing in another $29,000,000 for a total of $67,840,000.

No. 2 again, for the second week in a row, is THE SANTA CLAUSE 3 (Buena Vista) bringing in another $16,893,000 for a 2 week total of $41,052,000.

And coming in at No. 3 for the second week in a row is FLUSHED AWAY (Paramount) with another $16,710,000 for a total of $39,931,000.

No. 4 is STRANGER THAN FICTION (Mandate Pictures and Sony) with an opening number of $14,100,000.

Rounding out No. 5 is the psycho thriller SAW III (Lionsgate) bringing in another $6,600,000 for a total of $69,879,000. I’m sure the dvd sales of this will go through the roof.
