Monday Morning Box Office

Written on Monday January 1, 2007

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s look at what’s No. 1 at the box office for the first year of 2007!

1. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (20TH) came in at No. 1 again, with $37,800,000 bringing it’s total to $116,855,000.

2. THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS (SONY) coming in at No. 2 again, with another $19,300,000, bringing it’s total to $98,346,000.

3. DREAMGIRLS, (Paramount, Dreamworks SKG) rising from No. 25 to No. 3 this week with $15,500,000, and bringing it’s total to $38,464,500.

4. CHARLOTTE’S WEB (Paramount) in at No. 4 with $12,000,000, total: $52,858,000.

5. ROCKY BALBOA (MGM) falling from No. 3 to No. 5 with another $11,350,000, and bringing it’s total to $48,822,000. I saw this movie, and I must say, it’s very good. Forget about 2-5…they blow. This one should have been the only sequel made, even all these years later.
